Bear Uniform
Webelos Uniform
In general, every Cub Scout should wear his uniform to all Cub Scouting activities, including den and pack meetings, unit outings, and any activities done with members of the den or pack.
When playing sports, going to camp, or participating in other physical activities, a pack may opt to have the Cub Scouts wear an alternate uniform, such as an activity shirt or Pack T-Shirt known as a “Class B” uniform. Pack leaders should provide advance notice of any occasion when the boys should wear anything other than the complete uniform.
Here are some tips for wearing the uniform:
- DO keep the uniform clean and in good repair. The official uniform is a sturdy, machine washable garment that will last for years with proper care.
- DO your best to wear the complete uniform.
- DO NOT wear non-BSA badges, awards, or insignia on the Cub Scout uniform or make any alterations to the uniform or insignia.
- Consider marking your uniform parts with your scout’s initials, as uniform parts are often “exchanged” during play at pack and Den meetings, or during activities such as camping and hiking.

1. Fold the long edge over several small flat folds to about 6 inches from the tip of the neckerchief. A tight fold prevents gathering around the neck and is more efficient than rolling or twirling.
2. Place around the neck over turned-under collar of uniform shirt. Or, wear under shirt collar if desired.
3. Draw neckerchief slide over ends and adjust to fit snugly. Let neckerchief ends hang loose.
4. The portion of the neckerchief showing below the back of the neck should measure no more than 6 inches.
