"Role-model the right behavior. Never use illegal drugs. Don't consume alcohol, smoke, or use foul language in the presence of girls."

Although these guidelines are targeted towards leaders and approved volunteers, the same behavior is expected of parents and adult guests who attend any Girl Scout-related event.

This applies for events that take place both on and off of Girl Scout premises. It is the expectation that all adults involved in Girl Scouts will follow the role-model behavior mentioned above. The main focus of all events should be for the girls to enjoy themselves, therefore, adult-only behavior, such as drinking, should not be included.
